After a successful career in ponies, young event rider Harriet
Falshaw has a new ride for 2012. North Yorkshire-based Harriet has
recently purchased Naughty Norris to produce for next season.
Sponsored by her local company British Horse Feeds, Harriet parted
company with her 14.2hh eventer Brakefield Firefox earlier this
year.
New horse Norris, a full TB ex-racehorse will start eventing
with Harriet at BE level 100 in 2012. Norris has previously run in
four races and will now spend the winter show jumping and competing
in dressage before the eventing season starts again. The 16hh,
four-year-old chestnut gelding is fairly green at the moment but
caught Harriet's eye showing masses of potential.
After around four BE 100's, Harriet will hope to move up to
Novice level aiming for Osberton 1* at the end of the season.
Harriet will also be aiming Norris for the Burghley Young Event
Horse classes as he did two this year narrowly missing out on
getting a place in the final but gaining 38/40 for his jumping.
