Here we catch up with our sponsored riders as they start to plan for the season ahead...

Dominic Wolfendale

Dominic started this year on top form with Lantinus at Addington Manor Equestrian Centre. They competed in the Inter 1 on the Friday and then the PSG on the Saturday.

Said Dominic: "I had a lesson with Carl [Hester] on the Thursday before which proved very useful and consisted of lots of shoulder in on the centre line, not my strong point!

"Laddie was a star! It was the first time I had ridden the Inter 1 in competition and we were 8th finishing on 65.65%. Not quite the score I wanted but I had some really good marks for the harder movements like the zigzag half pass in canter and the pirouettes. One judge had me on 67% which is enough to qualify for senior international, so for our first attempt not bad!

"The PSG I felt was a much better test, but again we finished on 65%. It was great to get out again as I haven't competed for nearly five months! I certainly have my home work to do and will be working hard before we go to Myerscough Premier League in March. Clearly all the hard work over the winter months is starting to pay off. Laddie looks amazing at the moment and has started the Grand Prix work at home, which is going extremely well!"

Jodie McGregor

With spring around the corner, Jodie has her first competition lined up and is planning to head to Oasby (March 9th-11th) with Spot On and Political Dancer. The younger horses will be starting their season a little later and Jodie will be working hard training at home.

Spot On will be aimed at the Junior Trials this season, Jodie is hoping to earn a place on the British Team to go and compete at the championships in Poland - best of luck from the team at BHF! Political Dancer will be starting at BE100 and then gradually aimed at a 1* star after doing a few Novices. Then the other youngsters will be competing in the Burghley Young Event Horse Classes and all will be aimed at qualifying for the Lycetts Championships at Osberton at the end of the year.

Jodie is also delighted to announce the arrival of a new horse. Said Jodie: "We have a relatively new addition to the gang (but he will have to wait a little while longer before he makes his debut!). 'Donut', who has just turned two, is by the stallion Tullibards Romeo and is being fed up to hopefully grow into a star of the future! He is owned by my Mum and her friend Caroline Whalley. He is very cheeky but as he is so handsome he does get away with it, he is currently living at Caroline's and being spoilt rotten!"

Another recent addition is 'Marvin', by Cruising, who was brought over from Ireland by Jodie's Mum. He came 1st in his first ever dressage competition and is showing great promise over fences.

Harriet Falshaw

Harriet Falshaw has been working hard with her new horse Norris. He has been making brilliant progress with his dressage and once the snow melts Harriet will be taking him to do some cross country. This season Harriet is planning to get Norris qualified for the Burghley Young Event Horse Finals. He will be competing with British Dressage to improve this phase and Harriet is also hoping to do a few BE90's with Norris to iron out any issues, before moving him up to BE100.

Good Luck Harriet, Jodie and Dominic!
