British Horse Feeds are pleased to support The Red Dragon
Endurance Ride once again this year and will be sponsoring both the
Golden Dragon and Dragon's Tail rides.
The event is based at the Royal Welsh Showground and runs from
2nd - 4th October 2009.
One of the oldest rides in the country, The Red Dragon provides
an end of season party for Endurance competitors and always
attracts a lot of interest and many top riders.
Organiser Pat Conn said: "We are delighted to have support from
British Horse Feeds and Speedi-Beet once again. Their sponsorship
is much appreciated."
Simon Parker of British Horse Feeds said: "We are looking
forward to supporting such an important event in the endurance
calendar.
"Speedi-Beet is ideal for endurance horses as it is high in
fibre, which helps provide the required stamina for horses to
compete over long distances."
Speedi-Beet from British Horse Feeds is a unique 'ready in 10
minutes' sugar beet feed.
Launched in 2000 after a period of extensive research and
development, the feed is highly nutritional and unmolassed 95%
sugar free.
It also provides rapid re-hydration for performance horses
whilst optimising energy release rate. This is due to the soluble
fibre in Speedi-Beet, which has a high water holding capacity
increasing the amount of fluid in the horses' hindgut. This
reservoir can then be drawn upon during prolonged exercise such as
endurance riding to help replace water lost through sweating.
Adding small amounts of Speedi-Beet to water may also encourage
difficult horses to drink during events.
