The last few months has seen a host of export successes for Speedi-Beet which is rapidly gaining global distribution.
A hugely successful visit to the Al Fares Trade Fair in Dubai has been followed by export orders for the Philippines with an agreement formed between Speedi-Beet and Tallahesse Ltd.
SA further link has been established between the Singapore Turf Club and Speedi-Beet with product supplied to the centre.
The Al Fares trade fair was billed a huge success by members of the 52-strong British contingent.
At the event three British companies, including Speedi-Beet celebrated linking up to sign a deal at the show to supply feed to Turkish distributors Eren of Istanbul.
The first container load has been exported and this was the first of a long term arrangement to supply the growing Turkish equine market.
Badminton Horse Feeds, Speedi-Beet and Equilibra have been negotiating the deal for 18 months and co-ordinator of the deal, Eric Oakes of Badminton was delighted that the show had set the seal on the project.
He said: “Our Turkish customer Mr Atakan Eren came to the show especially to see the three of us. Al Fares proved the perfect place to clinch the deal.”
TExhibitors at the Dubai fair were up on the 2002 figure of 177 to 227 exhibitors. Both France and Germany had also increased their representation at the Fair which included an additional hall and demonstrations for the first time.
BETA chief executive Claire Williams who co-ordinated the British mission, said: “The majority of exhibitors were satisfied with their results at the show. Many of those visiting had come back specifically to see companies they had seen at the 2002 show so the relationships are definitely building.”
