Michaela Simpson Wins the British Horse Feeds Advanced Medium Restricted Winter Championship

Michaela Simpson and her eleven-year-old Hungarian Sport Horse Razz Jazz headed a field of 19 national finalists to win the British Horse Feeds Advanced Medium Restricted Championship with a score of 65.79%.

Razz Jazz was first seen by Michaela's father as a two-year-old and subsequently purchased a year later. Said Michaela: "He does try hard and finds the work easy. We used to event and as his dressage phase was strong we decided to focus on it. I'm so glad we did, it's amazing to win here today."

Michaela, who works for the family scrap business as an HGV driver, also won the award for the highest placed amateur owner/rider, "I ride and compete as a hobby fitting it around my work," she explained. "We jump, gallop, see other things, and it seems to be working for him."

Simpson and Razz Jazz, who train with Patsy Bartram and Paul Fielder, aim to move up to Prix St Georges level in the not too distant future.
