LucyBarclay&Barntown(Golly)

Lucy broke her back 11 years ago in a riding accident and was left paralysed from the waist down. Determined to ride again she began competing in para dressage and quickly excelled, taking part in the World Championships in 2007. Sadly though, a second riding accident in which Lucy broke her left femur, right tibia and shattered her right femur, ended her riding career. Whilst in hospital Lucy came up with the idea of driving and so Golly was broken to harness and has been a complete star. They have now been driving competitively for two years.

Impatient Golly

December has been a quiet month for us. Thank goodness the weather has not been too bad and we have managed to get out three days a week to just keep Golly ticking over. She hates to be out of work and is always impatient to get going whilst we are harnessing up.
