Hello! I am the newest member of the Speedi-Beet team and can’t wait to get into the swing of things for 2019!
January has been a pretty busy month for us as I have started training with Christopher Bartle with my eventer Shannondale Sharona (or Lexi to her friends). We have gained some invaluable advice and I am now feeling really positive for our 2019 campaign. Although she hasn’t got out to any jumping competitions in January yet, she did two British Dressage Elementary classes as a warm up for the winter regionals next month and produced some lovely work for promising scores. I’m hoping to get out jumping her over the next few weeks before our first event of the season at the end of February.
My other horse, a very cheeky grey gelding, called Boolagh Fergus focuses on Dressage and is qualified for BD Medium level at the winter regionals. We did a few Advanced Mediums together last year but have spent the winter working on the basics with Melissa Chapman and boy, have I seen a difference! Due to the snow he hasn’t been out this month but once the regionals are done I’m hoping to get him out a lot more and get him more established at Advanced Medium level.
I’m thrilled that British Horse Feeds have given me this opportunity as their support makes juggling the horses around my full time job as a Graduate Surveyor much easier! I can’t wait to see what we can achieve together this season.
