Over the last couple of months we have been busy training our new horses. We now have a new addition to our fold, Sawyer, an 18hh grey Irish Draught. He has only been with us a couple of weeks and he has a very focussed training schedule ahead of him but he is settling in well.
We have also been using the summer to practice our public order training. It is essential that we have regular public order training for both officers and horses so they are fully prepared when the need arises.
Our colleagues in the Metropolitan Police carry out Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace daily. We often assist them with this duty this time Aerial and Socks were at the palace helping with the troop movements.
