This enduring family stewardship has enabled us to cultivate lasting relationships with customers, suppliers, and employees, founded on trust, integrity, and shared values.

Our customers can be confident that the people leading the business are personally invested in its success and committed to upholding the highest standards in everything we do, ensuring our products and services continue to deliver value for generations to come.

Our British Horse Feeds Journey

British Horse Feeds was established in 1999 as a specialist division of I'Anson Brothers, operating from our Masham site in North Yorkshire. Since then, the brand has grown from a single innovative product to an internationally recognised range, now exporting to more than 40 countries worldwide.

Our journey began with Speedi-Beet, a revolutionary quick-soaking beet pulp feed that earned the prestigious Queen's Award for Enterprise in Innovation. Building on this success, our product portfolio has expanded to include Speedi-Beet, Fibre-Beet, Cooked Linseed, and TurmerAid, each carefully developed to support the nutritional needs of horses across all disciplines and stages of life.

Quality from Source to Stable

Quality has always been at the heart of British Horse Feeds. We believe that exceptional products begin with exceptional ingredients, which is why we source our beet pulp exclusively from British Sugar in Norfolk. British Sugar works closely with local contracted farmers, ensuring full traceability, consistent quality, and a secure domestic supply chain.

While global sourcing options are readily available, we remain committed to using British-grown beet pulp because of its outstanding quality, freshness, and purity. Widely regarded as some of the cleanest and least contaminated beet pulp available worldwide, British beet pulp also benefits from a low environmental footprint, supporting our commitment to sustainability and responsible sourcing.

From field to feed room, we are proud to provide horse owners with products they can trust, combining British-grown ingredients, scientific expertise, and over 126 years of family-owned manufacturing excellence.
