Here we catch up with the team at Hope Pastures as they continue to raise funds for their rescue work…

It’s definitely been a game of two halves this month, we have had beautiful spring sunshine and warmer days, followed by freezing cold and snow!

Here at Hope Pastures we are preparing for a season of fundraising and events to help us maintain our rescue work.

Our annual raffle is now running with some lovely prizes. If you would like to purchase tickets to help us please follow this link…

We have been busy on site too. We are now up to capacity for rescues and have had a waiting list for the last couple of months. We have managed to rehome 3 equines in the last couple of weeks, with hopefully more to follow, so we are looking forward to some more new arrivals again soon.

Our work also involves helping homes in the community with all aspects of care and keeping an eye on the welfare of equines that are living in difficult circumstances as well as helping with advice and education.

We have over 100 horses, ponies and donkeys on loan that have lovely homes and secure futures because of our charity.

Our site at Weetwood Lane in Leeds is open 10-3pm every day and we are free to enter – donations are always welcome!

This year we will also be holding a Craft Fair on Saturday May 7th from 10-3pm – all welcome!

Check out some of our lovely equines in the very changeable weather this month! They have been enjoying warm Speedi-Beet and Fibre-Beet mashes as part of their diets.
