Scooby, a former Horse of the Year Show Champion Cob in 2008 remains a much-loved member of the yard at show producers Simon and Natalie Reynolds base near Sleaford.
A winner at HOYS on three occasions, the handsome bay gelding is now 21-years-old and looks a picture of health.
Said Natalie: “Scooby is special because Simon found him at the age of three at Goresbridge Horse Sales in Ireland and he has been competed by us ever since.

“Now he is enjoying the occasional hunt ride and some jumping. He is by Grade A stallion Porsch, so he has an amazing jump for a little cob.

“We are so proud of Scooby he was a star in his heyday and he still is now in his veteran years. He looks amazing for his age and still loves what he does.
“We fully believe that his diet of Fibre-Beet and Cooked Linseed, keeps him in tip top condition and gives him slow-release energy to go gallivanting across the countryside and enjoying himself. He really doesn’t look or act like his age.”

Added Simon: “Scooby just had that look at me attitude as a young horse and still turns heads now. His coat looks amazing and his feet are in great condition thanks to the biotin in Fibre-Beet.”

Simon and Natalie feed their Fibre-Beet slightly wetter to ensure Scooby or any of their horses are hydrated after a hard day of exercise.
Many owners create wetter mashes in the summer to aid hydration, but hydration all year round is important and during cold periods both Speedi-Beet and Fibre-Beet can be made with warm water to create a nice warming mash to help raise core body temperature.
