British Horse Feeds, the maker of Speedi-Beet and Fibre-Beet, is delighted to be supporting the Team GBR endurance riders at this month’s FEI Young Rider European Championships.
Charlotte Chadwick on Hazelcroft Gosens Tsar, Ollie Holman on Bronze Nahdir and Kate Atkinson on DNS Ronaldo have been selected to represent the country at the championships which is held in San Rossore, Italy.
The team already uses the British Horse Feeds products as part of their horses’ daily diet and the products lend themselves perfectly to the nutritional and hydration needs of endurance horses.
Said Will I’Anson of British Horse Feeds: “We are delighted to support these young riders and continue our support in the world of endurance riding. With our products being soaked feeds they are perfect for helping rehydrate endurance horses and provide them with the energy they need for the long and testing rides.”
Speedi-Beet and Fibre-Beet are both non-heating soaked feeds that can provide rapid rehydration whilst optimising energy release rate.
The soluble fibre in them has a high water holding capacity increasing the amount of fluid in the horse’s hindgut. This reservoir can then be drawn upon during prolonged exercise to help replace water lost through sweating.
Both products are also high in fibre and low in sugar and starch. Speedi-Beet and Fibre-Beet have both been approved by BETA, making them suitable for horses and ponies prone to equine gastric ulcer syndrome (EGUS).
